iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac Getting Started

As a combination of Video Converter, DVD Ripper, DVD Burner and DVD Backup application, iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac enables you to play videos and DVDs anywhere. With it, you can easily convert video and DVDs to nearly any format like MOV, AVI, WMV, MP4, MPEG, and convert video/DVD to fit your mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Burning DVDs and downloading online video made easy. It's more than a video converter, video downloader, video editor, or DVD burner and copier.

Install
After expanding the iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac .dmg file by simple clicking, please drag the application icon out of the pack and drop it to your Applications folder.

After installing, start iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac. There are three options: Convert, Burn (Burn DVD or Copy DVD) and Download.

Tips: To enable video downloading feature, you need to install the browser integration component.

Convert

Click Convert, you enter the following interface:

 

Step 1: Load files

There are two ways to load files:
1. Drag files to the main interface directly.
2. Click Show media browser button to add files from Media browser.

Choose one file from the Media list, click the Add button or drag it to the main interface of iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac. You also could drag additional folders to the Media list directly. 

Select a file from the Media list, you can preview it by double-clicking or pressing the SPACE key on keyboard. Right click it, you can select Display as List or Display as Icons.

You can select audio track from the drop down list of Audio track switch, and select subtitle or load subtitle file in Subtitle Selector.

Click the name, you can type a new name to rename the file.

Step 2: Edit files (optional)

You can edit the videos before converting. Just click the "Edit" button, you are able to trim, crop, .etc.

Step 3: Output settings

Before conversion, please select an output format in the "Format Category" on the bottom of the program.

Tips: When you select a format, there will appear a Settings button  on top right. You can click it to set parameters of the format. However, the default setting is usually the best choice. Click Custom, you can rename your current selected format as your customized format.

To merge all imported files, the Merge option can be set to On.

Step 4: Start conversion

Click the Convert button to begin converting. Click Open output folder button, you are able to find converted files. You could also change the output folder in Output box.

Tips: Sometimes you might want the converted videos to be imported to iTunes Library automatically, you just need to choose the Apple devices format. Meanwhile, please click iMedia Converter Deluxe> Preferences on the top menu bar. In the Convert tab, tick Add files to iTunes Library after conversion.

Burn

1.Burn DVD

Click Burn, and select Burn DVD in Task drop down list box, you enter the following interface:

 

 

Step 1: Load videos

Click Add button or Show Media browser, or drag videos directly to the program. You can select subtitle and audio track from the drop down list of Audio track switch and Subtitle Selector and load subtitle files.

Note: DVD and audio files are not supported.

Step 2: Edit files (optional)

You can edit the videos before burning. Just click the "Edit" button, you are able to trim, crop, .etc.

Step 3: Output settings

You can name the DVD by typing text in the Name box. There are four options to select in Burn to box: SuperDrive(DVD Disc), DVD Folder, .dvdmedia, and ISO File. If you select DVD Folder, .dvdmedia, or ISO File, you are able to select a folder to save your DVD file in Destination box.

On the bottom of the "Burn" tab, you are able to select your favorite DVD menu. You can also set the Aspect Ratio:  16:9 or 4:3. And choose the Quality: Good, Better or Best. Click the drop down list of Select blank DVD type, you can select the output DVD type: DVD(D5) or DVD DL(D9).

To preview your DVD, just need to click the Preview button. After all these settings, you can start burning by clicking the Burn button.

Tips: Click iMedia Converter Deluxe> Preferences on the top menu bar. In the Burn tab, you are able to select the Video Mode: NTSC or PAL, Burn Speed. Tick Play movies in sequences without returning to the main DVD menu, you can play the burned DVD in loop.

2. Copy DVD

Click Burn tab, after you select Copy DVD in Task drop down list, you enter the following interface:

 

 

 

Step 1: Load DVD

You could drag or click Add button to load DVD files like DVD Disc, VIDEO_TS, .dvdmedia, or ISO file that you want to copy.

Step 2: Start Copy

You can rename the DVD by typing text in the Name box. There are four directions to output to: SuperDrive(DVD Disc), DVD Folder, .dvdmedia, and ISO File. If you choose DVD Folder, .dvdmedia, or ISO File. You could select output path to save your DVD in Destination box.

Then, click Copy button to start copying. To copy to a new disc, please take out the first disk in the middle of copying process, then insert a blank one as the program directed.

Note: The program doesn't support copy D9 to D5, but supports copy D9 to D9, D5 to D5, D5 to D9.

Download

After you select Download, you enter the interface as below.

There are three ways to download videos:

1. Open Safari( Firefox or Chrome) to browse the video you want to download. When there is a Download button on the top of the video, click it and the video will be added to the Downloading list.

For YouTube videos, click the Download button on the top of the video, in the drop-down list, there are several options for the video resolution . You can select the larger one to download HD video.
2. Copy the URL of Video and then click Paste URL button. The video will start to be downloaded.

3. Drag the URL of the video you are playing to iMedia Converter Deluxe icon on Dock or the interface of iMedia Converter Deluxe, and the video will start to be downloaded.

Tip: Click iMedia Converter Deluxe > Preferences on the top menu bar. In the Download tab, you can choose the output folder, the number of simultaneously downloading clips and uninstall extension.

After downloading, in Downloaded tab, you can right click the video and choose Show downloaded file to find the downloaded files on local disk. Then drag the video to Convert or Burn pane.
