Introduction:

After installation, follow the steps below to get your valuable data back.
Note: Before starting, please make sure that your phone battery is more than 20% charged.
Step1. Connect the Android Device to your computer
First, install and run the program on your computer, connect your Android device with your computer via the USB connection. An initial interface will be shown as can be seen below:
If it’s the first time to connect, you will be asked to authorize trusting the device.
Note: During the recovery process, please don’t start any other Android applications or management software.
Step2. Enable USB debugging
USB Debugging must be enabled on your device. After connecting with computer, the program will detect your device automatically, your device and the device name will be displayed.
Please follow the steps to enable USB debugging:
1. Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter

2. Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter Settings -> Developer options -> USB Debugging

Step3. Device detected and Analyzing your device
After your device has been detected, please follow the steps listed below:
1. None Rooted device:
In the analysis process, if the device
is not in a rooted status, please click
Start to analyze your Android device. The One-click root will not void your device warranty, or cause data lost.
The analysis time depends on the amount of data on your device. Please wait patiently until the analysis has been completed.
2. Rooted device:
In the analysis process, if the device is in a rooted status, you will see the Superuser permissions on your phone’s screen, please click Allow.
Note:
1. If you failed to enable the
Superuser Request, please click
Superuser Request authorization guide.
2.If the device failed to be analyzed, then this program can only support scanning pictures and videos from the memory card/stick in your Android device.
Please following these steps to set USB Storage mode on your device.
For Android 2.3 or ealier: Slide down the Notification Drawer -> Click on USB connected -> Click on Turn on USB Storage
For Android 3.0 and above Enter Setting-More... -> USB utilities ->Unplug the device-Connect Storage to PC-Reconnect the device -> Turn on USB Storage
For MTP/PTP devices: You can't directly scan to recover data from it. Before scanning, you can root your device first.
Step4. Scan lost data
Once the analysis is complete, Android Data Recovery will automatically scan your Android device.
After the scan process has finished, you can select what file type to recover, including "Contacts", "Messaging", "WhatsApp messages & attachments", "Gallery", "Audio", "Videos", "Documents".
Tips: Click the Next button, then the following window will appear, please select a storage scanning mode. You can select to scan in Standard Mode or Advanced Mode. "One-click root" and "Root in recovery mode" will be applied in these two modes accordingly. It's up to you.
During the scan process, please don't disconnect your device.
Step 5. Preview and recover
The scan will take you a while. After that, you can preview all recoverable data found in the scan result one by one. Actually, the current messages, contacts, photos, video and documents are also scanned out in the result. Deleted SMS and contacts are shown in red. You can separate them by the color.
After preview, mark those you want and click Recover to save them, the files will be saved to the default destination folder on your computer. As to contacts, you can save them in CSV, vCard or HTML format; to messages, save them in CSV or HTML format.
