Note: Do not open iTunes or sync files when running the program to avoid data overwriting. 

After installation, start iSkysoft iPhone Data Recovery and follow the steps below to get your valuable data back.

Step 1 Select a recovery mode 

Recover from iOS Device
Scan iOS device directly to find data deleted recently or lost due to inaccessible iOS. 

Recover from iTunes Backup File
Scan iTunes backup file if you have deleted data for a long time, or failed to recover from iOS device directly, or even lost iOS device.

Recover lost files of iPhone, iPad, iPod touch from iTunes backup files, if they have been synchronized with iTunes before.

1. Recover from iOS device

Once your device is connected, the program will switch to the corresponding recovery mode automatically by identifying your device.

For iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPod Touch 4:

1) Please connect your iOS device to PC.

2) Download a plugin in the program for your device.

3) Set Device Scanning Mode as following:
    a. Hold your device, then click Start button.
    b. Hold Power and Home buttons at the same time for exact 10 seconds.
    c. Release Power button. Keep holding Home button.

4) Start Scanning

Supported Files (12 Types): Camera Roll, Photo Stream, Photo Library, Contacts, Messages, Messages Attachments, Call History, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Voice Memos, Safari Bookmark

For iPhone 4S, iPhone 5/5C/5S, iPod Touch 5, iPad 2, New iPad, iPad with Retina display, iPad mini:

After connected your device with your PC, please click Start Scan to scan your deleted data.

Note: Only the following files (7 types) can be supported from the above devices (iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5, iPad 2, New iPad, iPad with Retina display, iPad mini):

Contacts, Messages, Call History, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Safari Bookmark

Recover from iTunes Backup File

If you have backed up your deleted data with iTunes before, you can use this method to easily retrieve your data. 

The iTunes backup files will be listed in the program. Double click the backup file you need or select it to click Start Scan to scan the backup file.

Note: If your iOS device is not listed here, it’s probably because your iOS device has not been synchronized with iTunes.

Step 2: Scan, preview, filter and find out the specific files you need

During the scanning, the files can be previewed in the program window. Once the scanning process is finished, select the type of the data to preview. If it is greyed, it means that the data cannot be found. You can select Stop or Pause during the scanning.

For Recovery from iOS device, you can select Only display deleted Items to filter these deleted files.

Tips: 1. You can preview the existing and deleted files and you can also search the specific file with keyword in the search box.
          2. The files of Contacts, Messages, Call History, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Safari Bookmark will be displayed as table. Sort scanned results by clicking table headers.

Step 3: Select a destination to save the recoverable data. Click Save to confirm it.

Select the files and click Recover, the files will be saved to the default destination and be opened by default.
