The quality of converted video has something to do with your computer's performance (hardware) and the video settings you've made.
To convert video at higher quality, first make sure your computer doesn't have heavy tasks. Quit all unnecessary programs. To do so, start the
Windows Task Manager by key combination
CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select processes you want to terminate before clicking
End Process button in the Process tab.
Also, refer to the suggestions below when converting specific types of files.
To convert DVD files:
1. Make sure DVD plays well with your DVD drive. If not, update the drive of your DVD drive and have another try. To update the driver, right click
My Computer on Windows desktop, and choose
Manage > Device Manager > DVD/CD-ROM drives. And then right click the DVD drive to update its driver.
2. Click the Settings button and keep the default settings.
3. If it doesn't help, send us the name, publisher and region code of the DVD movie. Also provide a screenshot of the output settings you use to convert your DVD. We will try it and get back to your with a solution.
To convert DRM-free video files:
1. Make sure the video file plays well on your computer and can be played in our program.
2. Click the Settings button to use the default settings.

To convert DRM-protected files:
1. Go to
Menu > Preferences > DRM from the top right corner to change the "capture size" option. If your computer is good enough, select
Original Size. Or
Half of original will also work.
2. Click the
Settings button and change the settings to higher values.
