How do you convert DRM protected files?

1. Check whether the DRM file has been authorized or not. To do so, you can simply play WMA/WMV files with Windows Media Player, and the program will ask you to input authorization information. For other DRM protected files, you can import them to iTunes and click Store > Authorize this computer. If you have not installed these media players, download them here and install:

2. Import the DRM protected video to our program and make sure it plays well. Please keep in mind that our program can't play M4V files. Video Converter Ultimate will convert the M4V files as long as they play well in iTunes. Go to Help > Notice on our program and follow the instructions to play DRM protected M4V files and convert DRM video successfully.

3. Click the Advanced button at bottom to set the output format. Before start conversion, go to Tools > Preferences. In the DRM tab, you can set the capture size. If the computer is powerful and fast enough, you're recommended to set them higher to get better quality. Otherwise, lower the parameters if you computer is slow. It's always a good idea to close other programs while converting DRM videos.

4. Click the Convert button to start convert DRM video. The program will show up a separate window to play the DRM video, and capture the video for conversion. Please don't close or minimize the window, otherwise the conversion will fail. The capturing time is the same as the video length. You can let the program to Shut Down PC After Conversion. You're recommended to convert the DRM video when you go out or don't need to use the computer.

There is another way to convert DRM video files on your computer as long as it can be played. See how below.

1) Close unnecessary programs to make sure your computer is not busy.
2) Run our program and click the Record button on top, and then play the video you want to record. A REC button will show up on the top of the screen.
3) Click the REC button to start recording. The program will capture the video automatically and let you convert to a DRM-free video.

5. When conversion complete, click the Open Output button to show the converted file and play it with your media player.
