How can I turn my scanned PDF into searchable or editable PDF?

If you PDF is scanned or image-based PDF, it is non editable or non searchable. However, you can use our program to perform OCR to turn your scanned PDF into searchable or editable file.

1) After opening scanned PDF, please click Edit>OCR.


2) A windows box will therefore pop up and please choose the OCR language to be matched with your document language under Change Languages tab. Then remember to click OK.


3) And you can choose Searchable Text Image or Editable Text for performing OCR. Click OK to start OCR process.


4) If you turn your scanned PDF into editable PDF after performing OCR, you can click Edit and choose Line Mode or Paragraph Mode to start editing.


If you turn your scanned PDF into searchable PDF after performing OCR, you can click search button to open the search panel. Then input the word you want to search. By beginning search, not only all of the search results will be listed in the search panel but also the matched words will be highlighted in the file.
