After importing video to the application, double click the video you want to apply a filter to, and you'll see the interface shown as below. Then switch to the Effect tab. You can also go to Edit > Effect after highlighting the video you want to edit.
Once you choose a filter effect you want, you'll see Blue sliders appearing in the progress bar of the video. The default length of a filter effect is 5 seconds. You can immediately preview the applied effect In the Preview window.
If you like, you're allowed to apply different filters to multiple parts of the video. To do so, go to another position by dragging the Play slider in the progress bar and choose another effect. When the Blue sliders appear in the progress bar, drag the Blue sliders to adjust the duration.
Note: If you move the Play Slider to a segment with existing filter, the new filter effect will replace the old one.
As you can see, there is a Time button under the sliders. Click it to open a window in which you can input Start Time and End Time to specify the length. Click the Done button to finish. If you don't want the effect, click the Remove button to delete it, or simply press Delete on your keyboard.
If you're fond of a filter effect, you can save it to your favorites by right clicking the effect and choose Add to Favorite. The selected effect will then bear a yellow star icon. To show your favorite effects, just tick the checkbox of Show Favorite. Similarly, right click a filter effect in your Favorite effect list and choose Remove from Favorite to remove it.
